The suit was filed last week in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Ill. by a woman named Chyvette Valentine, who said she was romantically linked with Scottie on and off between 1987 and 1993. During this time, Scottie was married to Karen McCollum, but Valentine claims she was not aware of his marriage. Scottie and McCollum divorced in 1990.

Valentine alleged her relationship with Scottie ended when he and Carl raped her. That assault led to Valentine allegedly getting pregnant, who would eventually give birth to her son, Devonte Pippen. He was was killed in 2011.

When her relationship with Scottie came to an end, she claimed he “used his celebrity as a Chicago Bulls player” to allegedly “stalk, harass and torment” her, causing her “severe mental and emotional issues.”

She also said he used his connections with local, state, and federal employees to cancel a police report she filed against him and that reports were allegedly falsified to portray her as “mentally ill.”

Since then, Valentine said she has lost employment opportunities and housing.

Scottie, Carl, and Larsa have not addressed these allegations.

This is not the first time Valentine has sued Scottie.

In 2019, she hit him with a $9,999 lawsuit for “the maximum allowed in small claims court" for money she said she spent on travel expenses to visit him on the road. According to her, Scottie promised to pay her back, but he never did.

In 1997, Scottie married Larsa, but they divorced in 2018.

Larsa was previously involved with  Marcus Jordan, but they broke up after more than a year of dating.
